Last updated: September 3, 2025 Welcome to Lume Retreat. By booking a retreat or using our website, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a reservation.
1. Bookings and Payments
• A non-refundable deposit of $500 is required at the time of booking to secure your spot. • The remaining balance must be paid in full no later than 30 days before the retreat start date. • Payment plans are available in up to three (3) installments, provided the full amount is paid before the deadline.
2. Cancellation and Refunds
• The $500 deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances. • Cancellations 90 days or more before the retreat: refund of all payments beyond the deposit. • Cancellations 60–89 days before the retreat: 50% refund of the total amount paid (excluding the deposit). • Cancellations 30–59 days before the retreat: 25% refund of the total amount paid (excluding the deposit). • Cancellations less than 30 days before the retreat: no refund will be provided.
3. Participation and Health
• Participation in yoga, surfing, excursions, and other retreat activities is voluntary and at the participant’s own risk. • Guests are responsible for ensuring they are physically and medically fit to join retreat activities. • Any medical conditions, allergies, or limitations must be communicated in advance.
4. Liability Waiver
• Lume Retreat, its owners, staff, instructors, and partners are not responsible for any accident, injury, illness, loss, or damage that may occur during the retreat or while traveling to/from the retreat. • All participants will be required to sign a Liability Waiver before the retreat begins.
5. Changes and Force Majeure
• Lume Retreat reserves the right to adjust schedules, instructors, or activities when necessary due to safety, logistics, or unforeseen circumstances. • In the event of force majeure (natural disasters, strikes, pandemics, etc.), refunds will follow the cancellation policy stated above.
6. Travel Responsibility
• Participants are solely responsible for arranging flights, visas, travel documentation, and travel insurance. • Lume Retreat strongly recommends purchasing personal travel insurance to cover medical, cancellation, or emergency expenses.
7. Governing Law
• These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States. • Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of San Diego County, California. • Activities held in Brazil are additionally subject to local Brazilian laws. By booking Lume Retreat, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
